

The term "repetitive strain injury "(RSI) and "cumulative trauma disorder" (CTD) mean the same thing – a muscle that has been used so frequently, doing the same motion, that is has become injured. It may be due to repetitive activities at work, at play or around the home. Common symptoms that develop over time are numbness, recurring pain, or limited range of motion in fingers or the hand. Common clinical conditions related to these symptoms include carpal tunnel syndrome, trigger finger, common hand/wrist pain and numbness and Dupuytren's Contracture.
