Julie Donnelly is an internationally recognized authority on repetitive stress conditions (RSI) and their treatment. She is the author of five books on the subject of chronic pain treatment and is often called on as an expert for print articles and radio talk shows devoted to health. In addition, she appears regularly as a guest lecturer on RSI treatment for professional and business audiences.
Ms. Donnelly is the co-founder of the Carpal Tunnel Treatment Center, an organization devoted to developing treatments for repetitive stress injuries. Her focus has been on the treatment of severe pain, especially chronic joint pain and sports injuries. She works extensively with elite athletes and patients who have been unsuccessful at finding relief through conventional therapies.
Donnelly's constant work relieving the pain of others led to a severe case of carpal tunnel syndrome that threatened the end of her career in 1996. Using her clinical experience with trigger points and muscle treatment , Ms. Donnelly developed a self-treatment technique, the Julstro self-treatment system, that successfully relieved her condition.
